1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CI-1T™ services operated by Alex Kwon, doing business as Collapse Index Labs™ ("we," "us," "our"), accessible at collapseindex.org. By creating an account or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms.

CI-1T consists of three main components:

  • CI-1T API - The hosted stability engine exposed through CI-1T programmatic endpoints. Accepts numeric prediction scores and returns stability metrics.
  • CI-1T Dashboard - The web interface at collapseindex.org. Provides account management, Lab, fleet sessions, billing, and the Ask AI assistant (powered by Grok by xAI).
  • CI-1T SDK & Tools - Developer integrations, including the Python SDK and MCP server, for embedding CI-1T into your own workflows and products.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and must notify us immediately if you believe any key has been compromised. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

All CI-1T features (dashboard, Lab, Ask AI, and API access) require authentication. You may authenticate via OAuth sign-in (dashboard) or API key (X-API-Key header) for programmatic access.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use CI-1T services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the API engine.
  • Use the services to build a competing stability analysis product.
  • Exceed rate limits through technical circumvention.
  • Share your API key with unauthorized third parties.
  • Submit scores designed to probe or exploit the engine's internal state.

The API engine is proprietary.

4. Data & Privacy

The core CI-1T evaluation engine processes the numeric prediction scores you submit through the API, Lab, or related monitoring features. We do not access your model weights, training data, or proprietary architectures.

Some dashboard features require additional data beyond numeric scores. For example, account management uses authentication and billing data, and Ask AI processes the prompts you send to that feature. Those data flows are described in the Privacy Policy.

See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, including third-party services (xAI, PocketBase). See our Security Whitepaper for technical security architecture details.

5. Credits & Billing

CI-1T uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. Credits are purchased in custom dollar amounts at a rate of $5 = 1,000 credits, with a minimum $5 top-up, and never expire. Evaluation features (API and Lab) cost 1 credit per episode. Fleet evaluation costs 1 credit per episode per node. Fleet session rounds (real-time monitoring) cost 1 credit per 10 nodes per round (minimum 1 credit). The AI assistant (Ask AI) costs 5 credits per message and requires at least one paid top-up. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We reserve the right to change credit pricing with 30 days notice posted on the dashboard.

Credits have no cash value, are non-refundable, and are non-transferable. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to another account. Unused credits remain on your account indefinitely but carry no monetary value outside the CI-1T platform.

6. Refund Policy

All credit purchases are final. No refunds.

Once credits are added to your account, they are non-refundable and non-transferable. This applies regardless of whether credits have been used. We do not offer refunds for unused credits, accidental purchases, or account closures.

If you believe a charge was made in error or without your authorization, contact ask@collapseindex.org within 14 days of the transaction. We will review the case but are not obligated to issue a refund.

7. Service Availability & Downtime

CI-1T is currently in public beta. The API and dashboard are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or response time during the beta period. API endpoints and config formats may change before the 1.0 release.

Scheduled maintenance: We may take the API or dashboard offline for maintenance. When possible, we will post advance notice on the dashboard. Scheduled maintenance windows are not considered outages.

Unplanned outages: In the event of unexpected downtime, we will work to restore service as quickly as reasonably possible. We are not liable for any losses, missed alerts, or interrupted monitoring caused by service outages, whether planned or unplanned. Scores submitted while the API is unreachable will not be evaluated until connectivity is restored.

Third-party dependencies: CI-1T relies on third-party infrastructure (Render, PocketBase, xAI). Outages at these providers may affect service availability and are outside our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

The services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for decisions made based on CI-1T outputs (stability scores, ghost detection, authority levels, or related analytics). Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

The names Collapse Index™, Collapse Index Labs™, and CI-1T™, along with associated logos and trade dress, are trademarks of Alex Kwon / Collapse Index Labs. You may not use these marks without prior written permission, except as necessary to accurately refer to the services (e.g., "powered by CI-1T").

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CI-1T services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on the CI-1T website and dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
