Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CI-1T™ services operated by Alex Kwon, doing business as Collapse Index Labs™ ("we," "us," "our"), accessible at collapseindex.org. By creating an account or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms.
CI-1T consists of two core components:
- CI-1T API - The stability engine hosted at
ci-1t-api.onrender.com. Accepts numeric prediction scores and returns stability metrics. - CI-1T Dashboard - The web interface at
collapseindex.org. Provides account management, playground, fleet sessions, and the Ask Grok assistant.
The CI-1T Monitor (CLI) is a companion open-source tool (Apache 2.0) for local signal monitoring. See github.com/collapseindex/ci1t-monitor for details.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API key and must notify us immediately if you believe your key has been compromised. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Account-linked features (dashboard, playground, Ask Grok) require sign-in. The public API can be accessed without an account for basic evaluation.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use CI-1T services for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the API engine.
- Use the services to build a competing stability analysis product.
- Exceed rate limits through technical circumvention.
- Share your API key with unauthorized third parties.
- Submit scores designed to probe or exploit the engine's internal state.
The API engine is proprietary. The CI-1T Monitor CLI is open source under Apache 2.0 - you may fork, modify, and redistribute it under that license.
4. Data & Privacy
We process only the numeric prediction scores you submit, whether from the dashboard or direct API calls. We do not access your model weights, training data, or proprietary architectures.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, including third-party services (xAI, PocketBase). See our Security Whitepaper for technical security architecture details.
5. Credits & Billing
CI-1T uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. Credits are purchased in custom dollar amounts ($1 = 1,000 credits, minimum $5 top-up) and never expire. The Lab is free for all authenticated users. The API and Grok assistant require a positive credit balance. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Credits are non-refundable once added to your account. We reserve the right to change credit pricing with 30 days notice posted on the dashboard.
6. Service Availability & Downtime
CI-1T is currently in public beta. The API and dashboard are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime or response time during the beta period. API endpoints and config formats may change before the 1.0 release.
Scheduled maintenance: We may take the API or dashboard offline for maintenance. When possible, we will post advance notice on the dashboard. Scheduled maintenance windows are not considered outages.
Unplanned outages: In the event of unexpected downtime, we will work to restore service as quickly as reasonably possible. We are not liable for any losses, missed alerts, or interrupted monitoring caused by service outages, whether planned or unplanned. Scores submitted while the API is unreachable will not be evaluated until connectivity is restored.
Third-party dependencies: CI-1T relies on third-party infrastructure (Render, PocketBase, xAI). Outages at these providers may affect service availability and are outside our control.
7. Limitation of Liability
The services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for decisions made based on CI-1T outputs (stability scores, ghost detection, gate verdicts). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Open-Source Components
The CI-1T Monitor CLI is released under the Apache License 2.0. Source code is available at github.com/collapseindex/ci1t-monitor. Use of the CLI Monitor is governed by the Apache 2.0 license; any API-related usage is also subject to these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
The names Collapse Index™, Collapse Index Labs™, and CI-1T™, along with associated logos and trade dress, are trademarks of Alex Kwon / Collapse Index Labs. You may not use these marks without prior written permission, except as necessary to accurately refer to the services (e.g., "powered by CI-1T").
The CI-1T engine, API, dashboard, and all non-open-source components are proprietary. All rights reserved. The CI-1T Monitor CLI is separately licensed under Apache 2.0 (see Section 8).

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CI-1T services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on the CI-1T website and dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
